Website redesign: www.thatcandybar.com

My friend from high school, Savira Sharma, created a candy bar business with her sisters. Her website, www.thatcandybar.com, was in bad shape. I offered to redesign her website.

Here is what the old website looked like:

Old Homepage

Old About Us page

Old Services page

Old FAQ page

These were my concerns:

  • The black background did not represent the exuberance and artistic nature of their business. A new template needed to be selected to brighten up the website.
  • There were few pictures of the candy bars they had previously put together. Knowing that “the proof is in the pudding,” the website must feature many visuals to showcase their talents.
  • The text was too small and had to be re-written to better convey company and service benefits.
  • This is a family run business borne out of planning previous weddings for the three sisters. These small business owners understand the stress and importance of planning a big event and want to serve as true partners to their clients– points that I think should be mentioned on the website.
